AFL Academy:
We are thrilled to announce the relaunch of our elite AFL football academy program, now proudly aligned with the Essendon Football Club as part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU see below). This partnership ensures that our students receive premier coaching and resources, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the realm of AFL.
As members of the Essendon Keilor College AFL academy, students enjoy unparalleled access to a myriad of exclusive opportunities. This includes coveted inner sanctum visits to the Essendon Football Club, providing an intimate glimpse into the professional environment and imparting invaluable insights into elite-level football.
Moreover, our program offers educational sessions covering various facets of the game, such as nutrition and game analysis, led by Essendon Football Academy Coaches and EKC coaches. These sessions are meticulously crafted to deepen players' comprehension of the game and optimise their performance on the field.
For students in Years 7 to 9, we provide weekly academy sessions tailored to developing fundamental skills and nurturing a passion for the sport. As students progress to Year 9, they are invited to enrol in our semester based AFL elective subject, delving deeper into football theory and practical skill development.
Year 10 students can engage in an intensive one-year football program aimed at readying them for the demands of senior-level competition. In Years 11 and 12, students have the opportunity to enrol in the VET Sport and Recreation Football program, acquiring valuable industry qualifications and hands-on experience in the sports field.
In the later years students will also have an opportunity to be part of the SSV Premier Team where students are selected to participate in a shortened season within the Premier competition. We will also have trail matches against other Government and Independent schools who have AFL academies.

Basketball Academy:
Welcome to the EKC Basketball Academy, where our dedication lies in providing top-tier coaching and resources to empower our student athletes both on and off the court. Our students have weekly coaching sessions, led by none other than Mike Spears. With extensive experience playing and coaching professionally across over 8 countries, Mike brings unparalleled expertise and insight to our program.
As a member of the EKC Basketball Program, you will receive personalised training singlets, ensuring you feel and look your best during training sessions and competitions. Moreover, you will enjoy priority access to tournaments beyond inter school sport, including Basketball Victoria competitions such as 3x3 basketball and the Victorian Championships Cup. These opportunities not only present challenges but also offer invaluable experience and exposure to high-level competition.
Participating in our program extends beyond the court. You'll have the chance to engage in exhibition academy matches, regular inter school sports competitions, The curriculum is meticulously crafted to enhance your skills, deepen your knowledge, and foster a comprehensive understanding of the game, providing a well-rounded basketball education.

Netball Academy:
We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for aspiring netball players to elevate their skills and excel in the sport they love.
At the EKC Netball Academy, we pride ourselves on delivering top-tier coaching and resources to nurture our athletes' growth on the court. This commitment is exemplified through our partnership with the Essendon Thunder program, helmed by head rep coach Fiona Maher. With her extensive experience and expertise, Fionar enriches our academy with a wealth of knowledge, ensuring our players receive the highest quality instruction.
As a member of the EKC Netball Academy, you gain access to exclusive sessions with Vixens players, offering invaluable insights and inspiration from some of the game's finest. Additionally, you enjoy priority access to Netball Victoria tournaments, including the prestigious Victorian Schools Cup.
