Essendon Keilor College has a rich history in performing arts, with students participating in instrumental music lessons as an engaging extracurricular opportunity.
In Instrumental Music, students learn a variety of techniques specific to the musical instrument they study. Students have the opportunity to study one or more instruments including;
- Voice
- Piano
- Guitar
- Bass Guitar
- Drums

Through weekly lessons, students develop their performance skills by playing both individually and as part of an ensemble. Throughout the course of a semester, students build a repertoire that includes a wide range of musical styles.
Students are provided with a variety of opportunities to showcase their talents, including assemblies, the Winter Soirée, and the End-of-Year Concert.
FEES
The Instrumental Music levy of $320 per year is payable at the Campus Office on enrolment. Direct Debit payment plans are available on a term ($80) or semester ($160) basis. Please note that places are limited for some instruments. This levy contributes to the maintenance of instruments and the development of Music programs across the College.
Fees must be paid by the third week of each term.
