Grade 6 to Year 7 Transition
The following information is provided for the parents of Grade 6 students.
The principles of the Department of Education's Neighbourhood School Policy guide the process of Year 7 enrolment.
Grade 6 students currently enrolled in a Government Primary School
The enrolment process is managed by the Transition Co-ordinator in each primary school. Enrolment forms are issued to parents by the primary school and must be returned to the primary school.
When the placement process is completed it is the responsibility of the primary school to notify parents of the outcome.
The Transition Co-ordinator at your primary school will be able to help you with any questions you may have concerning the Secondary School Placement Program.
Grade 6 students currently enrolled in a Non-Government Primary School
Applications are available from the Junior Campus offices. Applications may be submitted directly to the Junior Campus offices or via the Transition Co-ordinator in your primary school. The same placement principles apply as for students in Government primary schools.
The Transition Co-ordinator at your primary school will be able to help you with any questions you may have concerning enrolment procedures. Alternatively, contact the Junior Campus offices for further assistance.
School Tours are held regularly. Please contact the College on 8331 0100 to make an appointment for a tour.
