Curriculum Years 7 - 9
Essendon Keilor College provides high quality programs in the following domains:
- Languages Other Than English: Italian and Japanese
- Health and Physical Education – as well as Sport
Structured on a 10 day timetable, students undertake 30 periods each week. In addition, all students participate in a Focus Group program developed to improve literacy and numeracy skills.
In Years 7, 8 and 9 students participate in a comprehensive curriculum aligned with the Victorian Curriculum. The Victorian Curriculum (Foundation to Year 10) sets out what every student should learn during their first eleven years of schooling. The curriculum is the common set of knowledge and skills required by students for life-long learning, social development and active and informed citizenship. The Victorian Curriculum F-10 incorporates the Australian Curriculum and reflects Victorian priorities and standards.
